Request for Proposals: Reimagining Innovations in Healthcare

The NACDS Foundation is seeking innovative projects that explore solutions to some of the most pressing public health problems facing diverse and underserved communities, with an emphasis on addressing social determinants of health, including access to healthcare and nutritious food.

This Request for Proposals (RFP) aims to solicit efforts to enhance health, foster equity, strengthen access to care, and advance public health in alignment with the Foundation’s purpose to improve the health and wellbeing of communities in America. In particular, the focus of this solicitation is to initiate projects that improve inequities and increase access to care for underserved populations to improve population health.

Together, we can inform new models of care that make a meaningful difference for communities.

Application Portal Instructions

Please submit applications using the online portal (Application Files Upload) at the bottom of this webpage. Only complete electronic submissions (e.g., includes both the project proposal and budget proposal) that are received before the deadline will be accepted. Proposals received after the deadline or submitted by hard copy, by mail or other means of delivery, or by facsimile will not be reviewed.

Deadline for Submission of Proposals:

Proposals should be submitted through the portal below by October 27, 2022 at 11:59 pm EST.

Award Amount:

  • Option A (Prospective) Research Projects (2 – 3-year project): Up to $750,000 per award
  • Option B (Retrospective) Research Projects (1–2-year project): Up to $250,000 per award

  • Enhancing Access to Mental Health Screening and Support
  • Implementing Innovative Approaches to Chronic Disease Prevention and Management
  • Preventing and Reducing Impact from Infectious Diseases

Eligible Entities:

Funding is available to research teams led by an academic institution or a 501(c)(3) organization. Entities that have an advocacy focus to promote the industry of pharmacy or pharmacists, and for-profit academic institutions, will not be considered.
