Award Description

The NACDS Foundation recognizes the important role that community pharmacy faculty play in preparing students for careers as healthcare providers in community pharmacy, as well as advancing the practice of community pharmacy.

The NACDS Foundation, with support from Wyeth, established an award to recognize a pharmacy school faculty member (full time or shared faculty) who has made significant contributions to the practice of community pharmacy through innovations in patient care. The award will be presented annually at the NACDS Pharmacy & Technology Conference.

Nature of the Award

The faculty member honored as the awardee will receive a $5,000 stipend awarded to the recipient’s academic institution, to fund a current or future project in the recipient’s area of community pharmacy practice. The recipient will receive round trip, coach class airfare, two nights lodging, and complimentary registration to attend the NACDS Pharmacy & Technology Conference where the recipient will be publicly recognized and provide remarks during an award presentation.
